Family Travel Magazine

Family Travel was launched in 2018 to cater for this burgeoning travel market. They passed on the role of managing a 132-page magazine design, from issue one. I started with initial conception through to completion and beyond. Much consultation with the client/advertiser takes place on every single page.

Design Decisions

The first task was to identify and research a range of other travel titles. Then focus was on their design, making a product that stood out from the crowd in a saturated market. I put together a number of design examples, illustrating the best way to present this magazine. The magazine has three distinctly different sections — Plan, Holiday and Navigate — so I created a unique style for each one. Now readers are able to recognise and get to know favourite sections. The magazine has been hugely successful, bringing many new customers to the booking website.
